He was preceded in death by his parents Eddy E. and Doris L. Tessier and his brother James E. Tessier, numerous very happy puppies all waiting to greet him.

Robert began his distinguished law enforcement career as he became a police officer for the City of Houston on January 8, 1968, in Class 37. He is not dating anyone. One of Roberts favorite activities was visiting with his fellow law enforcement friends and aviation colleagues as often as he could; still flying whenever possible, helping when he could, sharing endless stories, and enjoying that special brotherhood known only by those in law enforcement.
